Why we do what we do

Impact

Palmon is dedicated to consciously contributing and impacting the world. It all starts with the why and why we do what we do. This is because we are passionate about creating an impact that will affect the future generations of the world.

We are passionate about education and to convey its importance to students around the world. Education in every sense is one of the fundamental factors of development. No country can achieve sustainable economic development without substantial investment in human capital. Education enriches people’s understanding of themselves and world. It improves the quality of their lives and leads to broad social benefits to individuals and society. Education raises people’s productivity and creativity and promotes entrepreneurship and technological advances. In addition, it plays a very crucial role in securing economic and social progress and improving income distribution.

Education also creates awareness which is extremely important for sanity and growth of humanity. Education can truly make or break an individual, because it builds and develops a person's belief, ideologies and values. Education gives the ability to think with reason, pursue dreams and aspirations in life and live a respectable life in the society. Education futures education. It has a ripple effect.

We are committed to provide education and have two programs active in India

Harmony House

Harmony House is an Indian registered, non-profit organisation in Gurgaon, just outside of Delhi, India. They have transformed two villas into full-time community centres for women and children, where they are offered education, food, medication, hygiene facilities and social services that they would otherwise be unable to access in the slums they live in.

They are dedicated to improving the lives of our children on a physical, emotional and intellectual level and aim to give enriching and memorable experiences to each and every child.

Harmony House’s key objectives are to provide a safe, fun, educational and loving environment for children and women living in the nearby slums. With many of its children attending school for only a few hours in the morning or not at all, Harmony House allows them to break away from the harsh climate of their usual surroundings and spend their free time in an enjoyable, stimulating and nurturing atmosphere. They also provide breakfast, lunch and evening snacks to all, hygiene facilities, medication and social services.

They have started vocational classes for the older kids to help them have a better future. The courses are currently focusing on yoga, stitching and beautician. The objective is to train these kids so by the time they are 18 they can pick up respectable jobs and have enough training and experience to back them up for a better standard of living.

Palmon supports education of few children every year at Harmony House and provides support at times of need like Covid 19.
